November 23-24th

This was the start of our journey together as a family. We did our best to keep things as close to 'normal' as possible, just Mom sitting more. It went alright, but the kids were confused as to why the baby couldn't come out, if the baby thought it was time...they also got annoyed with my inability to go down to the basement and help them with tasks down there...this is a reoccuring theme...I'm able to make the trip a few times during the day, but if they are playing on the computer and something goes wrong they often want me to come down and help them several times within a half hour...not possible!

In addition to the bedrest challenge, we also had the 'normal' challenges that come from the kids being at my parent's house for awhile. It's always difficult for them to come home and follow a different set of rules...they are exhausted...and their schedule if "off".

I'll be forever thankful to a friend, Jennifer, who came after naps on the 24th...she brought icecream for us all and really assisted in getting us over a "hump". The kids still weren't great listeners, but a special treat seemed to help.

L wasn't feeling great during this time, but she's such a trooper, she just kept on going!
Until we were completely sure about what this all meant for us as a family, we just did bits and pieces of the kid's school activities...one day we'd do math and handwriting, the next math and history...we'd just see what we were up for and go from there...it was nice to 'ease' back into it.
