The excitement on the 11th was that our neighbor, Katy, had her baby...hooray! Annika Rose has joined the group...just another baby to love on the beach this summer!
The 12th was the pageant...I helped with rehearsal from my wheelchair in the morning, then had lunch, naps (I got to go and get a haircut while Chad watched the kids...Hope was my driver), my Dad came and went to help me with the pageant. Mom came later and saw the pageant, then we all went for supper at Village Square. Dad went home and Mom stayed to help take care of the kids. In the evening she, Chad, and I watched a movie, Role Models...it was nice to see Chad have some help with the kids. The kids were ecstatic because G'pa took them to buy treats at the grocery and G'ma brought them each a whimzy pet for doing such a good job at the Pageant!
The 13th was a normal am...but it was so much easier with Mom here! In the afternoon she helped me with projects while Chad took the older two to the pool...we organized the hall closet and put up curtains in the kitchen, dining, and living rooms (to STOP people's comments about what they see us doing when they drive by!). Chad worked an overnight, so again, it was just nice to have someone else here to help.
14th my Mom was here and ran errands for me like a banshee in th emorning while Chad slept. She would take Q and run an errand, then come back and drop Q and take K and L, etc. etc. It was wonderful for me to get a little time with each of them for activities, but also time to just hang out with them one on one. We worked together to make food to freeze...for us, Isaacs, and for Katy's family...all together we made 18 meals!
